Hops- strobiles (Humulus lupulus)

Hops are native to Eurasia and the temperate regions of North America, although it is also cultivated in parts of South America, South Africa and Australia.

 It has traditionally been used for restlessness and anxiety associated with nervous tension or indigestion, and sleep disorders. It has also been used to increase appetite and digestion.

It can be taken as an infusion (herb) or as a tincture. Although both have sedative properties, the tincture is more effective for improving appetite and digestion.
Adults:  10-30 drops

Do not use in depression, as may worsen it
May increase the sedative effects of other drugs or herbs
Likely to interact with several medications
Not to be used in breast cancer

Hops are well tolerated, but may cause dizziness, sedation or menstrual disturbances

iron, sodium, lead, fluorine and chlorine.
